Fred VE3GCP and Adam VE3BAU have taken on an interesting activation of a Lighthouse and Island for the 3rd weekend of August in conjunction with the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend (ILLW). Their ILLW # is CA0025.
We will also be activating our Lighthouse (Burlington Main), ILLW #CA0015, on the same weekend and hope to meet up with them on the HF bands. They will be checking into ONTARS, so will we, so we may meet them on some of the bands. This is a fun thing (no contest) and the idea is to work as many Lighthouses or anyone you hear.

Our April speaker, Nancy Lefneski, VA3TOB, gave us a very interesting glimpse into the 3 1/2 year circumnavigation she just completed, along with her husband Steven, aboard their 39 foot Corbin sail boat. She acquired her HAM license through the Hamilton club in preparation for the trip, and found it to be quite useful for such a trip.
Nancy's presentation could easily have gone on for 2 hours as there was
so much to cover during such an amazing journey. Areas of great interest
include trip preparation, adventures, misadventures, dangers and how
technology plays such an important role in such an undertaking.
Anyone who would like to contact Nancy further regarding her circumnavigation of the past 3 1/2 years, can contact her at .
