Quietly at home, in his 70th year, Lewis James Sargeant, beloved husband of Nora McIntyre and dear dad of Mrs. Malcolm T. Reid (Sally) and Mrs. Gerald Baker (Barbara) and loved father-in-law and friend of Bud Reid and Jerry Baker, all of Hamilton. Dear grandpa of James of Halifax, Norman and Nancy Reid, Derek, Kenneth and Jeffrey Baker, all of Hamilton. Survived by his loving brothers Maurice and Robert of Hamilton and sisters, Lila Glencke of Toronto and Jane Harber of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. Lew was a retire Westinghouse employee, a long time Mountain resident and an active member of the Canadian Amateur Radio Association (VE3EYO). He was a civilian radio instructor with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps. (Lions) and a friend to all he met. Resting at the M.A. CLARK FUNERAL HOME, 567 Upper Wellington Street, Mount Hamilton. Visiting Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel Monday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Burkholder Cemetery. Donations to the Hamilton Amateur Radio Club Inc., PO Box 253, Hamilton or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
