Roy Robinson of Waterdown passed away peacefully in his sleep, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Monday, May 11, 2009. Roy was in his 89th year. Beloved husband for 52 years to Pearl (Pat) Kopetoske. Dear father of Sandra of Hamilton. Proud grandfather of Tracey of Englehart, Shain, Darrin, Jason of Hamilton, Melissa of Brantford. Loving great- grandfather of Payton, Jakob, Kaitlin, Marika, John, Martin, Peter, Christina and Derek. Dear brother of the late Harry and brother-in-law of Irene Robinson, and the late Bessie Penrose and brother—in—law of William. Roy served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. He immigrated to Canada from Dewsbury, England as a young child. Roy was employed for many years at Canadian International Comstock. Roy spent many hours of great enjoyment running his own amateur radio station. The family would like to thank St. Peter’s Hospital for their excellent, kind care, as well as Dr. Faught, Dr. Hattersley, St. Joseph’s Home Nursing, and CCAC. At Roy’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside committal will be held at a later date.
