Announcing the R.A.C. Winter 2018 to all you Contesters and would be Contesters,
Don’t forget the RAC Winter Contest. It is a 24 hour contest that starts at 0:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC December 29, 2018. That means that because of the time difference with the 5 hour difference now for the Winter months, this actually means that we start at 7 pm local time on Friday, December 28 and go till 6:59 local time on Saturday, December 29, 2018.
This is another one of those fun contests where you get to see what the weather is like in British Columbia and Newfoundland as well as wish your fellow Canadians “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” (or Happy Holidays if you prefer), a great contest. So let me know if you can operate a station or you can come out and relieve some operators or take a turn calling CQ. You are more than welcome to come and give it a try. If you can’t come out to lend a hand, you could always work us from home for our log.
This will be the time to use our regular Club Callsign VE3DC again, no the Special Event Callsign for Canada’s 150th Birthday and the 85th Anniversary of the Hamilton Amateur Radio Club that we use last year. So for this contest, lets see if we can finish 2018 off with a bang and make this another good one for VE3DC. Hope to see you all there. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
CU all there
