FEBRUARY – Digital Operating Award

The purpose of this award is to promote the use of DIGITAL communications and to stimulate an interest among the newer Hams to operate in the HF bands.

It is given to the Club member who has made the most DIGITAL (including C.W.) contacts during the previous calendar year. Certain requirements and credits are involved. An Award Certificate is presented to the winner. The winners photo will be published in the HARC Awards archive and published in the newsletter.

MARCH – Order of Merit

Given to a member or past member of HARC. The receiver must have performed more than is required of an officer or member. Results must provide greater interest and enjoyment to the club. A framed Order of Merit certificate is given.

MAY – Crawford Trophy

This trophy is given to encourage club members to build their own equipment. The project must be usable in Amateur Radio operating and built in the previous calendar year. A trophy is presented to the winner with his/her name engraved on it. The winner may hold the trophy for the year, however, the it is property of the Club and must be returned to the Club shortly before the presentation the following year. A Crawford Trophy certificate is also presented to the winner.

OCTOBER – Art Ferguson Trophy

The Art Ferguson Certificate of Recognition is awarded by the Hamilton Amateur Radio Club in recognition of meritorious service to the public through amateur radio communication.

Worked All Hamilton

Purpose:
To recognize the engagement of our regional amateur radio operators with those others in the community and abroad.

The “Worked All Hamilton  Award” is awarded to an Amateur radio Operator to recognize his / her outstanding achievement in having accomplished two way communications with the required number of VE3 / VA3 radio stations located within the City of Hamilton.
