Surrounded by his family at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario on April 21, 2007, John Arthur George Parr passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 76. Predeceased by his loving wife Beverley (1999). He was the loving father of David and his wife Zoe, John ,and Kathryn. Cherished and proud grandfather of Caitlin. Beloved partner of Barabara Chalovich. He was the dear brother of June(Colin) Kearns, Margaret (Bill) Madsen and predeceased by his sister Jean Smith, all from Australia . He leaves behind many cherished family and friends . John came from Australia in 1955 and contunied his career as a teacher, vice-principal, principal and was Head of the Audio Visual Department for the Hamilton Board of Education. John provided over 33 years of outstanding services to our schools. A private cremation and interment will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service to Celebrate John`s life will be held on Sunday May 13, 2007 at Michelangelo`s Banquet Centre, 1555 Upper Ottawa Street from 12pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society designated for Lung Cancer Research would be appreciated.

PATRICK, Dr. Michael Peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2011 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Beloved husband of Evelyn for forty-six years. Dear brother of Stephen (Shirley) Patrick of Amherstburg and Bill (Pat) Patrick of Amherstburg. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Susan Patrick and sisters Mary Seniuk and Anne Masney and brother Edward Patrick.

Michael grew up in Amherstburg where he lived with his brothers and sisters on the family farm on the Pike Road. He attended General Amherst High School and was valedictorian in his graduating year. He went on to dental school at the University of Toronto graduating in June 1961. He interned from 1961 to 1962 at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in New York.

He practiced family dentistry in Hamilton for forty-nine years. He was an alumni of Zeta Delta of Sigma Nu Fraternity and a proud member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He was a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Canadian Dental Association and a lifelong member of the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry.

Michael had many interests and passions in his life, loved his work and was adored by many who knew him as a dentist, friend or relative. He was a ham radio operator (VE3FMG), enjoyed photography, flying, fishing, hunting and computer technology. He loved his pets and especially enjoyed walking his Schnauzer Zoli in King’s Forest.

The family would like to give special thanks and acknowledgement to their family doctor Dr. Junard, Dr. Cunnington at McMaster Hospital, emergency doctors and nurses at Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Mizera and his team of doctors and nurses on ward E3, Dr. Hirti and his team of doctors and nurses in Oncology and also Dr. Bev and the nurses at St. Peter’s Hospital. You all provided kindness and compassionate care to Michael and his family for thwich we are most grateful.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Massimiliano (Max) Francesco Pizzolato in his 80th year, on January 25, 2013. He leaves his loving wife Margaret, sons Mark and Paul (Nancy). Grandchildren Tristan and Marisa. Sister Lia (Mario) in Italy. In-laws Jackie (Ron) Landridge and Patricia Joliceur (George, deceased). A valued retired employee of Westinghouse in Hamilton. Max was actively involved with the Hamilton Radio Club. Cremation has taken place. At his request there will be no funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
